Overview

Bus & Truck AC Coil Manufacturer

RefriCore manufactures custom evaporator and condenser coils for bus, coach, truck, minibus, and railway air conditioning systems — engineered specifically for the demanding conditions of transportation applications.

Transportation AC coils face challenges that standard HVAC coils do not: continuous vibration, shock loads, wide temperature cycling, space constraints, and weight limitations. Every RefriCore bus and truck AC coil is designed with these operational realities in mind — using vibration-resistant tube joining techniques, robust casing construction, and compact form factors suited to the tight installation envelopes of vehicle AC systems.

We supply OEM coil manufacturers, bus and coach AC system integrators, and fleet operators requiring replacement coils for existing vehicle AC systems. Our manufacturing flexibility allows us to produce both high-volume production supply for OEM clients and small quantity replacement orders for operators who need to match existing coil dimensions.

Available in copper tube / aluminum fin, all-aluminum microchannel, and copper tube / copper fin constructions — with anti-corrosion coating options for vehicles operating in coastal and high-humidity environments.

Vibration Resistance

Mechanical tube expansion creates a robust, fatigue-resistant bond between tubes and fins. Reinforced copper U-bends and return bends withstand the continuous vibration and shock loads of vehicle operation over the coil's full service life.

📐

Compact Custom Form Factor

Transportation AC systems have tight installation envelopes. We manufacture to your exact dimensional constraints — any width, height, and depth — with custom inlet/outlet positions and mounting bracket arrangements to fit your system design.

⚖️

Weight Optimized

All-aluminum microchannel construction available for weight-critical applications. Reducing coil weight improves vehicle fuel efficiency and payload capacity — particularly important for transit buses and coaches subject to weight regulations.

🌡️

Wide Temperature Range

Designed for operation across the full temperature range experienced in vehicle AC applications — from tropical ambient temperatures above 45°C to sub-zero evaporator temperatures in refrigerated transport applications.

🛡️

Anti-Corrosion Options

Golden fin epoxy coating or copper fin construction available for vehicles operating in coastal, humid tropical, or salt-treated road environments where standard aluminum fins corrode prematurely.

🔄

OEM & Replacement Supply

New OEM coil designs manufactured to your engineering drawings, and replacement coils produced to match existing coil dimensions for fleet maintenance and refurbishment programs.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you manufacture a replacement coil to match my existing bus AC coil?

Yes. Send us the dimensions of the existing coil — width, height, depth, number of rows, tube OD, fin pitch, and inlet/outlet connection positions. Photos of the existing coil are very helpful. We will manufacture a direct replacement to match your existing coil specifications. We can usually work from measurements alone if the original coil is no longer available for reference.

What makes a bus AC coil different from a standard HVAC coil?

Bus and truck AC coils are designed for the specific challenges of vehicle applications: continuous vibration and shock loads requiring more robust tube-to-fin bonding and U-bend construction; compact form factors to fit within vehicle bodywork; weight constraints to minimize impact on vehicle payload; and wide temperature cycling from hot start-up conditions to steady-state cooling. Standard HVAC coils are not designed for these conditions and would fail prematurely in vehicle applications.

Do you supply both evaporator and condenser coils for bus AC systems?

Yes. We manufacture both the evaporator coil (the indoor unit coil that cools the cabin air) and the condenser coil (the outdoor unit coil that rejects heat) for bus and truck air conditioning systems. We can supply both coils as a matched set or individually as required.

What refrigerant is most common in bus air conditioning?

R134a has historically been the most common refrigerant in bus and coach air conditioning systems worldwide. R410A and R32 are increasingly used in newer systems, particularly in markets with stringent environmental regulations. We manufacture coils compatible with all common refrigerants — please specify your refrigerant when requesting a quote so we can design appropriate working pressure and material specifications.

Can you supply anti-corrosion coils for buses operating in coastal areas?

Yes. For buses and coaches operating in coastal environments where salt air accelerates aluminum fin corrosion, we offer golden fin epoxy-coated evaporator and condenser coils. This is particularly important for city transit buses in coastal cities and tourist coaches operating in seaside destinations. Please specify your operating environment when requesting a quote.

Need Bus or Truck AC Coils?

Send us your drawings, dimensions, or an existing coil to match. We'll provide a competitive quote within 24 hours for OEM or replacement supply.
